UConn has perhaps the best basketball coach in history, and a men's coach who needs coaching on how to coach (and how to recruit high IQ players)
Make Geno overall head coach, all basketball teams.
Make KO associate head coach, mens' team.
Geno teaches, KO implements.
Recruiting, keep KO who the players apparently like, and add in the best teacher in the history of the game. "Play for Kevin, be taught by Geno"
for that model to work, wouldn't they also have to find an Associate Head Coach, Women's Team?UConn has perhaps the best basketball coach in history, and a men's coach who needs coaching on how to coach (and how to recruit high IQ players)

Listen Geno has done probably the best job in all college sports in building a dynasty. With that said the guy would get his clock cleaned as a men's coach.Woops. Fixed the link.

The depth of the women's game is nowhere near the men's game. Geno building that program up to its dominance is the real accomplishment. However we have no clue how good an in-game coach this guy is because he has the best talent probably 99% of the time the last decade.
Geno is not John Wooden.

I think Wooden isn't as great as Coach K.You mean the same John Wooden who also had the best talent in the country and built a dynasty as a result?
I think he would be a tournament coach and be successful but he would be like Rick Barnes. It would depend on the program he went to, the guy knows the game, but obviously he isn't going to be able to select players like he does at Uconn.
2nd post over there says it all :rolling:
