We have 0 info about the practices so far? How people look or anything? My skin is starting to itch...

Weren't there at least 3 or 4 practices open to the public last season? Any chance they will do that again, or would it have been announced already?

They announced some time ago that all spring practices would be closed.

i'm aware of that, but last year there were a couple they let people attend, unless i am confusing that with Fall practice. I was wondering if that was announced before hand, or before the open practice. or this could all be in my imagination?

It was a couple of years ago that the Rochester practice was open to the public. Last year was all closed until the spring game - the same as this year.

Practices are closed to public and media. Media did interviews of coaches after 1st practice but not a lot of info - compared to posters here who like to attend. Probably won't get much info until people are allowed to attend the spring game. IMO - not a very effective way to generate fan interest, especially when trying to increase attendance. Just win baby!!!

If you are a big donor are you allowed to attend. If I gave what some people do I would expect a few extra perks. They could have one practice open to season ticket holders only.

Totally not true, there was fanfest practice last year and at least one other open practice besides the spring game. I know, I was at all of them.

I know I went to one open scrimmage the weekend before the Masters last year and then to the Spring game a few weeks later. Last year I could understand more closed practices (new staff, new QB, new everything), but this year - I don't get it. On the one hand the FB program is asking the fans to get excited about the team, get season tickets and donate to the effort. Then on the back end we get very little news or access to information and only one open practice. Doesn't make sense to me.

I mean it's not a huge deal, but I agree with you. It just sucks seeing all these tweets from other schools thanking their fans for coming out and supporting for scrimmages and stuff. I'm curious for the reasoning for closing practices?

Check the date on your Fanfest story. It was August, not March or April.

Check the 2013 SPRING PRACTICE SCHEDULE from last year (link below). I think these say March AND April 2013. I was at all of these as well as the ones for fall ball. Notice the 2 that say "Open To The Public" as well as the Spring Game that states "Free Admission".

there are florida state spies in our midst at all times. Can't risk them catching on to all the bubble screens in the playbook.

I stand corrected. Well, at least the free admission holds for this year!

Wasn't the media allowed for the first half hour last season?

For a program that is severely lacking local support you would think you would want as much attention as possible? Even diehards can forget Spring practice is even taking place. We aren't even attempting to try and generate conversation about the program. Kind of head scratching.

I remember something like that when Marrone was here. I also remember when the practice fences were covered up so that after the press was removed, they couldn't see anything.
