but just for the hell of it I compared the miles from Michigan St., Michigan, and Ohio St. to Buffalo and another possible sub-regional site in Milwaukee. MSU is virtually the same, and Ann Arbor is 25 miles closer to Milwaukee, and Columbus, OH is 120 miles closer to Buffalo. I don't think Michigan will be ranked high enough to matter. Michigan St. probably stays high enough ranked to get Milwaukee. I think SU and the Buckeyes will be in the top 10 all year, so I'm not that worried about Buffalo. But SU would do well to beat Nova and remain the top team in the northeast above nova, and storz to lock down that Buffalo spot if Ohio St. gets the other one.
