1) Get rid of "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE" prior to every kickoff. That song was a hit in the late 80's and early 90's...time to get into this century. It's outdated. Mix it up! Same song for 20+ years. Change is good! 2) After halftime, don't move half the band to another section in the dome. People pay to watch football, even the people in the 300 level. Nothing worse then trying to focus on the game but now a bunch of band members are blowing your brains out 4 rows behind ya and you can't hear the PA announcer, the ref on the mic, or anything being said on the video boards. Leave the band in the endzone! 3) People and kids especially like autographs. Love them. Don't matter who they are from. There are only 6 SU home football games. Your telling me you can't get 6-12 former players over the course of those 6 games to sit outside a gate or 2 and sign autographs prior to the game for free? Not saying it will make people buy a ticket and show up, but when they do go to 1 game and have a good time and get a cool autograph it might entice them to come back to another game. Might entice a parent to bring his kid back because the kid is all pumped up he met some former football players and had a blast. Not saying you need hall of famers Art Monk and Larry Cosonka outside a gate, get anybody. Have Dan Connley and Melvin Tuton sign, its not about the "big name" of the players...its about the interaction. 4) SU only has 6 home games a year, those are 6 events. SU isn't in the football business you are in the entertainment business. Those are 6 big events. Have you been to an NFL game of late? If not let me tell you, outside the stadium its like the mid-way at the NY STATE FAIR! Outside the Dome on those 6 Saturday's you should have food vendors, radio stations broadcasting live, my autograph idea outside a gate or two or in a location, a couple little games for kids to win little prizes, a merchandise stand or two to buy SU gear. Make it special. You start in August and end in November,...the weather is perfect for this kind of stuff. Don't sell the game or the team...sell the "event" of a home SU football game! Even if the team isn't winning, people will still show up because its an "EVENT" they can bring their family too and have a good time.
