Recognizing that nothing is firm yet I am backing whatever decision Coyle is making. He has been very responsive to some small issues that some fans I know faced this year, and handled it professionally and quickly.
He has kept the perfect profile since his arrival. In my view he handled the Shafer removal in the best way possible, and was the choice of a Chancellor who thus far has turned up nothing but aces on all counts.
I have more faith that Coyle and the Administration will make a good hire than I had faith that HCSS was turning a corner if given more time.

We had the WMU band running football and now we're actually a step down with this Drake nepotism hire. I'm disgusted with SU and wish I were mentally capable of getting a life like Buzz said and stopped caring like 80% of our fans.

He gives no reason for optimism or patience. It is wash, rinse, repeat. I wish I could let the anger boil out of me with the idea of Chris Ash as HC but I don't want to get in trouble.

I'm not happy with the Ash hire if it's true. If he turns out great which I hope he does, I'll definitely be on here to admit I was wrong, as I always do, when one of my predictions goes horrible wrong- which I admit happens on a regular basis.

I think it shows how serious the administration takes football...Until the school wants to compete or take football seriously we will continue to make hires like this...It's sad that AAC schools pay more for their football coaches than an ACC team...I wouldn't be shocked if the ACC eventually kicks us out like Big East did to Temple... Right now we are just collecting a check...
