Don't think SU will be favored the rest of the year and honestly, I think they'll lose pretty big in just about every game the rest of the way. Opt-outs and then just a rash of injuries to 1st stringers doomed this team this year. Couple that with a brand new defense that they never were able to practice normally in the offseason (same with the offense but less so because the scheme is mostly the same) and it's not all that surprising.
I'm trying to think positively about this year and that we have opportunities to see what some of the younger players have. Sean Tucker is fun to watch, the offensive line is a wreck but hopefully can gain experience for next year. The defense is just a lost cause until every player can have a full year in the system. It obvious some of the major deficiencies involve young players just simply either A) not knowing where to go and B) getting blasted on blocks because they're not "college men" at this point.
I guess the good news is that the entire country expected the team to suck and they do. So no one can say we underachieved.
