He has nice footwork he’s added, he’s a very solid defender who has been used to guard various other teams’ best player. We all saw him defend a top 5 pick about as well as anyone has for stretches against Duke.

Now he’s still a bottom of the rotation guy at best as he matures from a 6-7 frosh at a MAAC school but to not see what this kid can bring and the potential is being too focused on where he played vs his game. He has every bit the tools and size to be another Omier type player as well as a modern day version of Otis Hill as he keeps improving ( that’s a potential reference not a now reference) . There is a lot of value there given the experience he’s had already playing in the NCAAT against Duke after being thrust into a bigger role.

I will just add that it’s a big summer for any of the returning kids, Siena kids and the new blood we will have. We’ve watched Red and his staff have kids regress or not improve their games. That I am confident will change with Gerry at the helm. So I think as it pertains to Doty and Folefac there are trust issues we have as a fanbase that are fair. Let’s see what he brings in and see how much these guys improve.
