[B]Arizona[/B]  has an amazing 8-0 record vs top 50 (including the requisite 4 marquee wins).  They are also 17-0 against top 100 teams.   The basis for a clear #1 resume ... the basis for the #1 seed overall.

[B]Somehow they managed to lose to 3 sub 100 teams.   What an odd resume.    Never seen anything like it.  [/B]   But at the end of the day its only 3 losses.   So to compare teams let's just re-allocate those losses to the top 100.   How would 6-2 vs top 50 and 14-3 vs top 100 hold up vs a team like Virginia.

Arizona 6-2 top 50 ( marquee top 25 wins over Gonzaga H, San Diego St N, Utah Home and Away)
Virginia 8-3 top 5o ( wins top 25 wins at Maryland, at VCU, at UNC, at Notre Dame, Louisville)

Virginia has 4 top 25 RPI road wins.    Have to give Virginia the edge in top wins.    And I still had to allocate one sub 50 loss to Zona, none for Virginia.

Virginia above Arizona... this also seems to be the matchup that would be in the Los Angeles Region

[B]Wisconsin[/B]  2-2 vs top 25.   Top 25 Wins over Georgetown and Oklahoma.  Just not enough.   Even if they beat Maryland tomorrow I don't think its enough to overcome Virginia... especially since Virginia also beat them on the road.    Wisconsin also has the bad loss at Rutgers.

The 1 seed line is tough to get into this year.   Arizona and Wisconsin are typically #1 seeds.    But not this year (or not as of today anyway)

A clear top 6 - 6 teams worthy of a #1 seed.   Remember last year when it seemed there was only 2 or 3.  Louisville, Arizona, Wichita St (with question marks)
