I wish the LSU fans good luck if

I have full faith that Syracuse can handle itself and in the CNY beers themselves, growing up my uncle would bring Utica Club whenever he brought his RV down to Omaha for the family.

I will say LSU fans are incredible though, I have seen first hand every June during the College World Series LSU fans takeover Omaha, even if they don't make it they come up in droves in RVs and live here for two weeks no joke. There are at least two bars in Omaha that are strictly LSU bars all year round just cause their fans have taken them over every year. These people are professionals and might I say the friendliest drunks you can meet.

Syracuse will hold its own but you will make some friends and they will give CNY a good run for it's money.

Love Kitty Hoynes, and The Retreat, of course.

the drinking the town dry is a bit of hyperbole for sure, but it has been somewhat of a legit issue in the past.

When we went to Seattle in 2009, we had a downtown bar that was "forced" to changing their hours of operation from 11-till, to 9-till because we had so many fans waiting outside to get something to drink. There were also many bars in the UW area that ran out of Bourbon very early, and saw the entire crowd walk out, and go to the next bar. That scene played out about 5 times throughout the day, until a whole strip a bars had no more Bourbon.

Bartenders in close vicinity to the Dome are going to have a couple of good days for sure.

I'm just happy to have a team coming to the Dome whose fans know how to represent. For too many years, we played too many games against teams who didn't bring enough fans to finish off a 24 pack. Not mentioning any names. They know who they are. Thankfully most of them are now on the outside looking in.

Welcome LSU fans. Geaux Orange!

Between the combo of LSU coming to town and Parents Weekend, I'm sure the bar owners, restaurant owners, hotel owners are all the looking forward to the weekend.

Booked my hotel way late, before catching a break with what would appear to have been a Genessee Grand cancellation, there was one day recently where hotels.com listed the closest hotel as one in Fulton.

It's our Homecoming/Family weekend up at Le Moyne this weekend as well, and we have unfortunately been directing folks to hotels in Auburn. And that was a month ago.

I was born and raised up until 8th grade in central NY, raised as a teen in NW Ohio, live for 20 years in Southeast Texas. Been to Louisiana, Florida, Colorado, California, and other states. No one drinks like central NY.

It's my 25th year reunion at my alma mater, Ithaca College. I should be watching Wolfgang Shafer lead the 2-0 and 20th ranked Bombers kick Alfred's butt. Instead, I'll be at the Fine Lot and the Dome doing my best to will the Orange to an unlikely upset victory against LSU. Priorities. Still, it's a great day to be a Bomber!
