he was a good qb and his biggest influence is bill cubit
the last 3 weeks the illinois offense has rolled up 288, 263, and 243 yards of offense.
their offense BLOWS against p5 schools not named Purdue
at WMU, Lester was cubit's assistant in 05 and 06 where they had 393 and 319 yards per game
they got better after he left. maybe it's coincidence
if they had let mcdonald finish the year, would they have promoted lester next year?
if not, has lester done anything to keep what should be an interim job he got by default?
i know he's had injuries but getting the job mid season and getting a lot of guys hurt shouldn't give you the job the next year
we can pick all kinds of offenses to emulate. why are we running Western michigan's. they were pretty good in 2011. whoopdeedoooo. there's a big world out there, why must we keep having our coaches all come from some directional nowhere? i'm all for hiring good mid major coaches but the entire staff doesn't all need to come from the same place
