if the announcers spend so much time talking about other teams playing games at neutral sites.

This ISN'T a neutral site. It's an SU home game, that's the difference. Other teams play neutral site but still have 6 or 7 home games. This isn't the case.

SU sold out and screwed over local fans (I understand why and I agree with what they did) but lets call it what it is! And can't be upset when called out on the carpet for it by people!

Gross has been a very controversial figure - from retiring #44 to moving lots of great home games etc. If Marrone does not succeed by his 5th year, Gross should be gone. We'll see what happens. Let's go Orange!

Using the word "neutral" was unintentional. I still don't want to listen to some douchebag spout off for 5 minutes about how we've sucked, college kids can't make the trip, the whole stadium is filled with USC fans, I don't give a . I'm just trying to watch a damn game. No other team is made to look incompetent during a telecast.

And by a prominent alumn too boot

ABC isn't supposed to IGNORE the obvious. SU had a home game where USC had equal or more fans. That is a story when the game is a blowout in the 4th quarter. I got no problem with ABC making that an issue

I agree with this completely and Sean McDonough is a Syracuse alum. He's not speaking bad of Syracuse, he's just stating something that he thought looked pretty clear and I have to agree with him.

Is there any chance of this game even being on ABC if it is at the Dome?

Exactly ... and he echoed many season ticket holders voices. Including the ones on this board. 10 years of watching crap in the dome and when a good team comes you farm it out.

What? Of course. Dome games aren't allowed on ABC? I'm totally confused by this post

I'm not sure but I think it also has a lot to do with the fact that USC was playing. A lot of people will watch USC play so it makes sense for it to be on ABC. Especially with some connections like Sean McDonough at ESPN could've helped

the fans wernt close to equal. USC has more fans that wear the school colors

to be fair to the good doctor when he scheduled this game for metlife stadium we were supposed to have 6 home games ,tcu left didnt want to schedule 2nd fcs team so only 5 home games

My point is that I don't think we would be on one of the major networks if this game was not played at MetLife Stadium. I am not sure why this is confusing. When is the last time Syracuse played on one of the major networks?

What's a major network in your mind? They were on ESPN last week. I think a lot of households get that network.

Whatever, just pissed me off to get texts from my buddies laughing that we were getting thrashed by the announcer on t.v. - didn't sound like they were just stating the obvious to some cfb fans.

I understand that. Maybe my age makes me see more prestige in being on ABC versus ESPN. It is really not a big deal. I just think it was a good decision to play where we did.

maybe get new buddies!

A kick in the balls when I see them will remind them not to be when I'm watching Syracuse or the Bears.

Every (100%) of tvs that get ABC get ESPN now. You'd be right a couple years ago

USC would not have agreed to a home and home
