Ichiro was sad when the games were over. He was in an unreal zone with 7 hits on the day, four stolen bases in the night cap and a game saving catch with the bases loaded in the 8th in the opener. To cap off the night he had the deciding hit. Maybe leading off in the first game gave him a little spark?
Andy pitched 5 solid innings, just what the doctor ordered for what was for a time, a fragile position. Nova looked in fine form the other night and Kuroda is pretty reliable. Phelps had a good outing & the relievers held up last night.
Perhaps CC should get into an off season fitness program as the career innings seem to be catching up with him.
Now if Baltimore would only go away.
