It’s doubtful based on JB games that are postponed will be made up. Unless it was like a Duke-UNC or rivalry games.

We should have a backup just in case.

For a billion dollar operation the NCAA really went into this blind. They are going to lose out on NCAA tourney due to their ineptitude as an organization. Really should be some sort of overhaul. To not have like a pod system or mini tournaments to create some sort of structure is sad. To let 328 separate schools figure it out on the fly... they should at least expand the tourney if they are going to force it happening.

ncaa will get the tournament in one way or another

Pitino is a jackass but he was spot on with the idea of "May madness"

DePaul is off March 6th. We have a bye March 6th.
If we don’t make up all these conference games PPD we should try to play DePaul March 6th.

You mean like our executive branch leaving it up to 50 states?

I know they will because it is about the $$$$$. Not the student athlete or coaching safety.

I don’t see the evidence that it’s safer for college kids to be out on their own vs the regimented testing and tracing protocols of those in athletics

They don’t care about evidence.

The NCAA rule for this season is 5 games OOC if you do not play in an MTE or 7 if you do. They gave Syracuse an exemption to schedule 7 OOC games after SU’s attempts to schedule an MTE fell through due to COVID.

Syracuse has already played 6 OOC games and has another one scheduled against Georgetown. Any further games against OOC opponents in the regular season would be against NCAA regulations.

You can play 27 regular season games.

The Council also provided more specifics on the upcoming season:

  • Teams were allowed to begin practicing on Wednesday, Oct. 14
  • No exhibitions or scrimmages will be played
  • The maximum number of contests was reduced by four
  • The Council recommended a minimum of four non-conference games
  • Teams may play no more than 27 regular-season games
Not sure where you see a limit on nonconference games. Not every conference can play 20 regular season conference games.

There isn’t a limit on nonconference games. The committee recommended each team play a minimum of 4 nonconference games.

You can replace a conference game postponed with a nonconference game by rules in the NCAA guidelines.

What are you talking about? I’m not talk about individual teams testing. I’m talking about the NCAA as a whole having 9 months to figure out something and the only thing they could come up with is YOLO. Syracuse has been off for three weeks...now tell these unpaid kids to go out with limited organized practice and go full speed again. Also, we will Figure out how to make up the games later. Maybe 3-4 games a week I guess with additional travel. Nobody has any idea though especially with the subjectivity of the selection committee.

I’m all For them playing if they want to play but given the large amount of teams and ppl involved you cannot take the NFL approach of making it up later. There are just too many games and moving parts.

Yupp. Liberals just want the sports gone
What does this have to do with being liberal vs conservative? Further how would you even know whether ppl were?
All I Want to see is a better product then what is being put out there which is nothing. We haven’t seen anything in weeks. If we did play Florida state and somebody tested positive we would be off again for another two weeks. I don’t see how having a multi billion dollar organization take some responsibility makes me a liberal.

I’m used to ppl on this site with your opinion being real for the sake of arguing..so you are correct with that assessment.
I don’t have the same opinion as the post I made the joke to and I too am sick of making everything liberal v. conservative.

But your point is very fair I cannot blame you for thinking I was serious haha
