The reality is true improvement isn't going to be measured by our W-L record over the next six games alone. Sure, most casual fans and some emotional supporters of the program will get caught up in the record, but there are many ways to measure improvement, progress or growth within a football program beyond the simple W-L record. Cuse will likely be an underdog in the eyes of the "experts" against each of our remaining opponents just as we were in the games against Ohio, Liberty, FSU and #16 Wake. We won two of those games and covered the spread (beat the "experts"), in all four. The two games we lost went down the last play of the game. How many of you "fans" stayed until the end of each game, and how many of you were raking leaves or went to Octoberfest instead? Never mind, don't answer that. This team is growing each week, learning to fight and learning to compete. Sure there's room for improvement, so let's continue to improve. We are banged up and we are going to get banged up more along the way. ACC football is competitive. If we continue to play with heart, if young guys continue to step up when called on, and there are signs of improvement along the way, then this program is headed in the right direction. Clemson is the real deal. They are athletic, big and physical. Their QB is bigger than almost everyone on our defense. He has a cannon for an arm and can run (scary sight). Their top six WR's are all 6'3" or 6'4". Gauge your expectations wisely. With that said, I hope we punch them right in the face and come away with the upset win. I still believe a bowl game is possible and will hold out hope until that sixth win is mathematically impossible. Get on board or get out of the way. There's way too much negativity on this board. It's not healthy. Go Orange!
