Let's also forget to mention that when he took over we had bottom 5 facilities as far as P5 programs.  Facilities didn't improve until the Manley renovations that were completed in 2012, and still then they weren't that great.  It's actually pretty amazing he did as good as he did.  Those first 2 classes he had to fight for every single kid.  We were a program in the gutter.  Sure Marrone may not have liked recruiting, but that doesn't mean he wasn't good at it.  He had a plan.  He implemented it, and it was starting to show fruition when he left.  That 2012 class that he had was shaping up to be very very good.  The class before that produced a ton of contributors as well.  All that was done with absolutely nothing.  I would love to see how he would be doing right now with real facilities, and before this season a winning program.  It would have been just as good, if not better then what we are doing now.
