I'd circulate rumors *I* was stepping down (from here) if it would help us get in. I might actually do it too. I tried to take one of the team earlier this summer offering myself as a trade for a return of 3 legends, to no avail.

Actually, when I saw the thread title I thought it was going to ask a question like that, along the lines of what you'd offer to take one for the team, kind of similar to giving up something you like for Lent.

Not many people on that bench that have been free of rumors (or certainty) that they wont be back, does that get us any extra points?
