That was pretty incoherent but I think I was able to decipher a few things in that long, un-proofread post. Name me one expansion move that had smoke before being executed? The internet theories haven't come to fruition. Just because you read it doesn't make it true. Do you know the criteria, because it doesn't seem so. FSU to the B16 is an extreme long shot because they don't fit the criteria and Miami is the better choice if they really want into Florida. The SEC doesn't need any more brands. They don't need to expand. Sure FSU is the best brand left, but there isn't a need to grab them. What does FSU bring to the table vs all their warts? Are they really worth it? Do they make the SEC schools more money? Do they take away from LSU, Bama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia? Why offer FSU over Miami? What was BBall first about adding Miami, VA Tech, BC? Or SU, Pitt, Louisville? UNC hired name HCs. Just because it didn't turn out doesn't mean they weren't trying. The B12 does nothing for SU. We have an outside shot at the B16. We have an extreme outside shot at the SEC. Most likely we will (and should) end up in some different makeup of an ACC. That actually gives us a BETTER chance at making the playoffs. We would have zero shot in any other conference. Why would anyone pick $25M more per year to only see 5 W seasons be considered pretty good? UConn to the B12 likely is not happening. Supposedly the B12 has a pro rata clause for only P5 teams. If UConn isn't also included in that clause, they will not likely be taken. The B12 schools will not vote to lose money. I suppose that UConn can go there and get less money than everyone else. Is that worth it to them to get $15M a year for the next 5-6 years just to be in the B12? I would think not. As to recruiting winning will do more than money. At best we will be middle of the pack in money. That isn't going to move the needle. So being in a Northeast conference where we can win, would be better for our program. We have a small football fanbase. That isn't a positive for SU. The ACC GOR has been a net positive for SU. Saying otherwise is silly.
