Since we have such a small sample for Long, I'm pretending like he got a TD on first and didn't have the 2nd and 3rd down plays

his season QB rating goes from 117 to 125

We're not going to have refs take away TDs like that every other game, I'm adding a TD for projection's sake.

take these two games (with a imaginary TD), apply it to 13 games, that's 2385 yards, 26 TD, 13 INT

that is a pretty good freshman year. McNabb averaged 2488, 24 TD, 7 Int for his 4 years.

Long lost out on a few games this year but with improvement, he might own a lot of records

i know, i know.. but this guy is already decent and he's 18. hope he stays in one piece

Having a good OL is why playing Long made any sense. If this OL wasn't good then I would have let Wilson QB the rest of the year. Long is showing good instincts but like Marrone in 09 protecting Nassib w/Paulus I would hope this week @ Clemson the coaching staff protects Long as much as they can with safe calls.

Interesting. Not many straight run plays called for Long this past weekend, right? He gets the ball off pretty quickly, though he does have the tendency to float a few, but I think that's more to do with giving the WR some time to really create some space. Hope the team runs for 200 yards, but it may be tough. Might need to do the whole "get the RB in motion before handing him the ball", which worked well against a fast FSU D.

He floated one vs Wake where I thought it was duck - but it was just a pass with touch. Been awhile since we've seen that ;)

That was a Winston like float to the corner. It was a nice throw.

I've never been as excited for a game ever... BEAT clumpson!
