Right now, the team is playing with house money. Going into the season, few of us expected a Sweet 16 run...yet here we are.

If the team is able to cap this miracle run with a National Championship, does JB use the moment to go out on top?

I don't know, but I hope he holds up a sign that says, "NCAA, How do you like now."

I kind of hope he dresses even more like a pimp this time and puts the smack down on the NCAA's @$$ similar to what Hank Hill did on tv's King of the Hill when Snoop Dogg made a guest appearance.

Why would he leave ? He is not showing any signs of diminishing . If he were arbitrarily forced to retire , it would be worse torture for him to watch the Orange fail knowing he could do better than anything the NCAA has done to him .

The contracts are signed. Coach Hop starts the job in 2017-18 season. There's really no more discussion on this topic as far as I know.

First we aren't winning the NC just because.

Second if we face UVA then I would look at the 1983 NC State West regional game against Virginia, UVA owned NC State and they somehow beat them.

Back to reality though we aren't winning the NC this year but a Final Four run is possible.

I cant see it unless they somehow win 17 games before the end of the tourney.

hes shooting for 1k, after that I wouldn't be surprised if he walks.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he stuck to his word and coached through '18.

No fear of that happening. ;)
Having lived in Virginia for 30 years, I'll be pulling for them if SU falters but not until then. Virginia orange is kind of ok as a second choice, but we now have a 4 game tournament and a shot at glory. Damn the Bulldogs, full speed ahead!!

I know I would and give the NCAA the double bird on the way out.....

I don't think so. Even with another 4 wins this is only a 25 win team, not exactly JB's best.

SU should have Mal, Lydon, DC2, TRob, and FH all returning. Add in 7'2" on the back line and the possibility that FH is pushed or beat out by Battle and you have the makings for a 30+ win team. Who among us would walk away from that?

The possibility of repeating would be hard to pass up - kind of similar to Calhoun at UConn.

next years tourney path...Buffalo then MSG.

if JB thinks he can get a 1 or a 2, he may like that travel arrangement...
