With all the TV money out there nowadays, it's just gonna happen! Too much competition. You have ESPN as a monster. You have Comcast now running NBC. FOX is always game to spend money on sports and is in bed with the Pac 12 but wants more after losing the BCS games. And even CBS is trying to rebrand its sports network with Jim Rome and other additions of late. The TV money is  out there and College Football needs something to go with a "playoff" or removal of the BCS. It's a match made in heaven[I] (or [B]hell[/B] depending on your point of view)[/I] and I think 4X16 is a matter of [I][B]WHEN[/B][/I] and not [I][B]IF[/B][/I] anymore.
 
The ONLY play Swafford has right now is to be pushing for an 8 game playoff instead of a 4 game playoff. Where you take the 5 main conference winners with 3 at large spots. Leaving ND in play as an Independent (sucks but a necessary evil in this scenario). But also letting MULTIPLE SEC, Big 12, and Big 10 teams into the playoff in a given year. Giving them MORE of the pie cut in their favor. Overall it de-values the regular season but keeps the ACC alive and its Swafford's best and only play right now.
 
[I]P.S...(as much as I would hate to see the ACC have its Armageddon and blow up for Syracuse's sake; if you believe in KARMA then if there was a conference who had it coming to them to get raided and destroyed it is the ACC for there actions over the past decade. I hope it doesn't happen, but KARMA can be a funny things sometimes and that worries me for SU's sake.)[/I]
