Nope. There aren't 64 Universities with more athletic worth that Syracuse. There aren't even 40 football teams that are more profitable than Syracuse Basketball. Syracuse Football right now is buying low with a pretty reasonable expectation of bigger returns. They are also in a state without other options for representation that networks would want.
 
If basketball isn't important then why is Indiana gaurenteed a spot? How bout Wake or Duke or Kansas? Boise State isn't getting invited over SU. Why is BC considered safe but not SU in these circumstances? SU is alot more profitable than BC. What do Texas Tech and Baylor bring to the table if they aren't connected to UT and OU? How about K State, or Iowa State? How exciting are they and how much earning potential do they really have?
 
IMHO SU is fine although the fans here seem to underestimate how we are viewed. I'd also like to point out that L'ville is alot more desirable than current Big 12, ACC, and some B1G teams from a profit standpoint and would be in should 4x16 happens.
