With Washington firing Mike Shanahan obviously just now. I think Snyder the worst owner in the NFL now will try to get Briles from Baylor, and if he doesn't want the job I think he will turn to Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly. Last year, Kelly wanted the Eagles job quietly, but they smartly went with Chip Kelly. My uncle an ND booster thinks Kelly will be gone soon because the ND Administration isn't loosing the standards to the Lou Holtz era like he was promised thus he won't be a lifer at ND.

If Kelly goes to the NFL I think we can beat ND next year as I doubt Everett Golson would be as efficient without Kelly and ND is losing a lot on defense.

I don't think Briles is in any conversation in Washington. Mort mentioned it, signing a your franchise QB's former coach could send a rift through the locker room. I think it could be Lovie if not BOB.

its like the dallas job- takes a guy who is willing to let the owner run roughshod over him-granted the money will be huge so some one will take the chance

Snyder wants to be buddy/buddy with RG3 there is no doubt Briles is the first choice. I honestly doubt he wants that job working for Snyder, but its going to be his first call. I doubt Lovie Smith who should be a player for the Minnesota/Detroit/Miami(possibly) openings would want to this job. Bill O'Brien is going to be the Houston Texans coach or will remain at Penn State IMO. He isn't going to go to Cleveland or Detroit.

Kelly to Washington makes sense. He gets to try his craft in the NFL and with a QB RG3 who fits his system and he will get overpaid. He can fail after 3-5 years and then get a good college job a la Steve Spurrier. Snyder likes overpaying and doesn't care.
