I grew up in Syracuse.  Had season tickets for the entire time I lived there.  I bleed orange.  If I never attend another hoops, football, or lax game for the rest of my life, then I will have attended more games that 99% of the fanbase.  And for the record, I'm not that old.
 
I travel to bowls.  I travel to NCAA games.  I travel to watch the team play in preseason tournaments.
 
But forgive me for correctly pointing out that the local populace can't make it up to the Dome from 10 minutes away.  Again, not pointing fingers at the die hards, but the rest of CNY who ARE fickle, and don't give a crap about Syracuse athletics, as evidenced by the piss poor attendance.
 
I've gone out of my way to also point out that I understand why on the football side.  The results aren't attracting fair weather fans.  But let's stop pretending that the vast majority of CNY residents who aren't the die hards who follow the team religiously aren't fair weather.
