If we go to the final four or win it all this year it will be because of Coaching more than anything

Looking at this years team and the other teams in the country you can tell that we are incredibly deep but as of right now we lack the star power that kentucky and UNC possess. I do however believe that Boeheim is a better overall coach than Calimari and Roy Williams. Roy Williams is a great coach with 2 National championships but looking at those teams Helen Keller could have led them to the national championship. I Believe that If everyone buys into what Boeheim is teaching, and all of the pieces come together, we can win the national championship because of chemistry, defense, scoop and Kris's leadership, and wanting to secure their legacy here in CNY.

In 2009-10 we most likely would have won it all if AO did not go down with the knee injury before the tournament. This year if anyone does get injured it would be bad but not nearly as devastating to this team as two years ago because of our depth. If Kris Joseph steps up and improves to be as good or almost as good as Wesley Johnson and all of the other pieces come together and Boeheim has his best coaching job since 1996, I believe we will be cutting the nets and 99 percent of people won't remember Kris or Scoop for their struggles, poor decision making and learning curves but as the two players who got it together their senior year and led us to the championship.

...believe the depth will carry 'Cuse as far as JB plays to it...if he keeps to his 7.5-8 players with time...an injury could be detrimental due to game time playing...if he goes to 9 or 10...which he could with this team...I believe we have the back-ups ready to come in when needed.

I'm not sold on this team in the tournament. We don't have a go-to scorer that can throw us on his back when needed.

There are a lot of teams through the years that lost even though it looked like "Helen Keller" could have guided them to a title.

I think the biggest knock against Keller was that she was never really seen as a "player's coach." Great X's and O's, but lack of recruiting hurt her chances. She just couldn't close at an in-home visit. Of course, as a player, she was legendary. But that doesn't always translate. But no matter what she may have achieved on and off the court, the biggest knock against her was that she was never able to win the Big One.

The biggest factor this year will be Scoop. There was no way we could do anything of significance with the way he played last year. He did many positive things, but the 10% of the time where he went crazy, it cost us severely. If he plays in a more mature way in critical situations this year, we have a legit shot at doing something great.

I believe he will be more mature. Hopefully I am right.

I completely agree with you, that's why I'm saying it's going to take one hell of a coaching job from Boeheim to compensate for the lack of go to guy in the tournament.
