the BE will be 7-7 in BCS games and the ACC will be 2-13. Just sayin'. I'm curious to see if those extra practices amped up Holgerson's offense because I think the Mountaineers will need it against Clemson. The Tigers are tough to beat when Sammy Watkins is healthy. Hard to believe it's been 30 years since Clemson was in the Orange Bowl. SU was in the Orange Bowl in 1999!

what's hard to believe is that despite playing in the watered down version of the Big East for the past decade + SU hasn't been to the Orange Bowl since 1999

what a missed opportunity Oh Lord

Who is everyone rooting for tonight?

I'd be more curious to know what the Big East record is since VT and Miami left.

What is the Big East record in BCS games for teams that are actually in the Big East or will be in the Big East.

The only think Holgerson needs to beat Clemson is a defense - shhhhhh.

BE is 3-4 since the split, with tonights game pending.

A part of me wants to root for Clemson tonight because I have family in Clemson, and I've visited Clemson throughout my life and I have a soft spot. Moreover, like most people I am relieved that SU is going to the ACC because it is a good move for the school for many reasons. However, I continue to have strong feelings about the ACC raids, the negative perception of BE football driven by the national media as well as what I consider it's soft gloves approach with the ACC. In a perfect world the raids never would have happened and conference re-alignment would be a bad dream. I spent the past 7 or so years defending the BE against the ACC, and those feelings will probably surface again tonight. I may end up pulling for WVU.

Who will you root for and who do you expect to win? I think Clemson is probably better, but I'm curious to see how the WVU offense plays with those extra practices. Does anyone know who is calling the game tonight? If McDonough is calling the game I have no doubt that he will refer to the ACC's 2-12 record more than once.

I know not many agree with this, but like Fjoinkay, I'm going to find it very, very difficult to seperate my emotions and the habit of pulling for the BE team. I'm behind our going to the ACC, but old habits and emotions are going to take awhile to change. I'm sure this craziness will pass.

You include some BE games here and omit others. The two omissions that come to mind are WVU beating Georgia in the 2006 Sugar Bowl and WVU crushing Oklahoma in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl.

Oops, I see now that you just included BE teams against the ACC after the split. My bad.
