What would it be?

I would ask why it benefits a struggling program to hire coaches without prior track records of success in the same specific roles as they will have in orange.

Yes, I still am having a hard time figuring out why we would name Lester as OC without conducting a full scale search process to find the best candidate (and having Lester be a full participant in that process with a real chance at earning it if he was truly the best option). It's bleeding Dolanesque. I also feel that our O line, and subsequently the entire offense, would be better with someone more seasoned than Joe Adam.

"Coach, I told God I would do ANYTHING to get the basketball team a National Championship, even it meant a curse on the football program in the form of bookended 51-point games, GROB and the 2014 injuries...but what's your reason why we seem snakebit?"

What the Hell did you punt from the 37 for? You had a manageable distance and the lead! Long's got a rocket for an arm!

Did you ever get the feeling that the world was a tuxedo and you were a pair of brown shoes?

(I owe George Gobel a quarter) ;)

Tell me what Joe Adam has done that has proven that he is not up for the job?

What's the sound of one hand clapping? Enlightenment, don't know what it is.

Agreed, when even remotely healthy the line has been fine, Adam has been fine

Have your staffing decisions for assistants been hampered due to the budget you have to work with?

Why do we always let the opponent take it to us and then counter? Why aren't we ready to force the action and dictate the game?

why do so many people who couldnt coach HS football think they have the answers when people with 20-30 years in the business cant do it most of the time?

Coach...When you're at home, why don't you take the ball FIRST when given the opportunity? Oh, and how many running plays do you have in your playbook? I ask because from where I sit I only see one (and every other team knows it). That's all coach. Thanks for your time.

Why don't you take time to read syracusefan.com? You can find all the answers to your problems on there!

This is funny because at some point, all coaches are moved to a role they never had before. All head coaches at some point had no head coaching experience until someone hired them to be a head coach. Same with every other coaching position.

Not saying he's been terrible at all, but maybe someone with 3-5 years experience of teaching the technique would be able to better weather the injuries. I don't believe the O line's troubles are his fault but I have to believe his inexperience has to play at least a partial role in an area where there is 0.0 margin for error atm.

True, but more often than not it is an junior coach or coordinator being promoted under a more veteran head coach or a rook HC hiring those with experience to work under him. How many 1st time MLB managers, NBA coaches, etc. hire a right hand man who previously held a top job elsewhere. Just look west a bit and see who FHCDM chose as his DC.

I'm all for promoting young talent on the rise, just not everywhere and all at once. As a still no0b HC of a program trying desperately to solidify its standing in the mid-to-upper-mid tier, its kind of ponderous the lack of track record for the offensive coaches. Hire a rook OC? Sure, just give him a few real solid position coaches to lean on. If at least a couple of the coaches on O had P5/NFL histories like Lea and Reed do on the D side maybe, just maybe, we would score a few more points.

I'd ask him to ask Boeheim "Why didn't you give Bus Patterson more court time last year?"

Not a safe question to ask JB if you're a mere civilian.

The line issues are the injuries and lack of depth. Neither of which are Joe Adam's fault. Joe Adam didn't cause Kyle Knapp's career to come to an end, Joe Adam wasn't responsible for the "flyer" trio of Burton, McGloster and Lasker (Burton - Marrone/Adkins, McGloster/Lasker - Shafer's staff, and a result of the turmoil from Marrone leaving) to round out the 2013 class, and he's certainly not responsible for Foy, Miller, Trudo, Robinson and Hickey all missing snaps this year (Foy obviously being the worst of the injuries).

The TE's have basically been invisible all year, Custis is going to get his shirt burnt for a few catches earlier in the year and Kendall Moore is still dropping passes - does that mean Acosta is incompetent and unqualified too? Or does he get a pass because he's managed to land 2 decent Jersey kids?
