that serves as a trap game, a team SU should beat but for some reason doesn't, which would it be?

Maryland Maryland Maryland. This could be the most important game of the season. This will be a much better UMD team then we played last year. I'm guessing the line will be around a toss up. We can't afford to lose this one at home with the killer stretch of ND, Louisville, FSU, @WF (another trap), Clemson on deck. It's a must win. We have to be at 3-0 going into that stretch.

Totally agree. I have a feeling I underrated Maryland when I first saw the schedule. They were decimated by injuries last year.

Florida State. We really should beat them like a rented mule, but I just have a feeling we'll be looking past them to a tough game with Wake.

NC State is the answer, for reasons given above. They were NOT good last year, but should be making incremental improvements this year. It comes right after our brutal stretch of games, and I feel we should be a decent favorite in that game. Since it's at home, we need to win it.

Honorable mention goes to @Wake only because it would be a big What loss. Trap potential is the fact that it's between FSU and @ Clemson.

Maryland is NOT a trap game, it's a swing game. One of those games that will swing a season from a poor season to a good season depending on the result. Too many people are thinking this is an easy win. I think we should be favored, but not by much.

Are we good enough yet to have trap games?

CMU?

Not that is a trap game but I feel we need to be on full alert for CMU. After the autonomy vote, I'm thinking any non-P5 team playing a P5 team will have a massive chip on their shoulder and it's our first road game. Get a couple of bad penalties or turnovers which bog down the offense, next thing you know it's the 3rd quarter and they are still hanging around. I hate these MAC road games.

Syracuse is everybody's trap game.
