A name to keep an eye on. We haven't offered, and he's currently committed to Arizona State, but he's friends with Robert, Moe, and Aapri, and has expressed interest in Syracuse recently. 6-1, 230-235 range, 4-stars on Rovals. Tom Lemming All-American.

Thus the potential power of Robert Washington; with his commit we are now reaching out to top players we most likely never would have considered offering.

Prospects increasing their interest in 'Cuse
Scott Brown

CuseConfidential.com

The last installment of the CuseConfidential.com three part series focuses on players who have seen their own interest in Syracuse increase with the commitment of Robert Washington and who would like to further explore the idea of visiting or getting in contact with the Syracuse staff. These players do not have scholarship offers to Syracuse, but could soon.

Good players want to play with other good players. That has not become more evident over the past week or so. Washington is truly a national recruit with ties to some of the best talent in the nation due to his experience with Team USA, other various camps he has attended, as well as numerous all-star games. His commitment to the Orange has really opened some eyes up and there is a new excitement with Syracuse in the recruiting circuit that hasn't been seen in years.

  • 2016 4* LB LB Joel Dublanko, Aberdeen (WA) Aberdeen: Dublanko is an unvelieveable talent in the 2016 class. He has been showcased in a variety of Rivals camps. He is the 7th best player at his position, the 4th best player in the state, and the 222nd best player in the class. However, because he is in the state of Washington, he feels as if he is being overlooked by some of the big programs. Currently, he has 6 scholarship offers. He told CuseConfidential.com that Syracuse has been in contact and that he is definitely interested in hearing what they have to say. He is rumored to be heading to Syracuse this summer to visit. Could a prospect from Washington be set to join Washington in Syracuse?
  • 2016 3* OL Keldrick Cesar, Miami (FL) Edison: Keldrick has one offer so far to his name and it is from Temple. He recently told CuseConfidential.com that some big programs are coming at him hard this spring and one that sticks out is Miami (FL). He likes the Canes and thinks an offer will come soon. However, that didn't stop him from saying that he has interest in Syracuse, although there has been no contact at all. Syracuse most likely won't make a play for him, but it just shows the influence that Washington has had on other recruits around the nation.
  • 2016 3* DB Jarret Cole, Norcross (GA) Norcross: Cole and Washington have been friends and playing together since they were little. Recently, Cole has been in contact with the Syracuse coaching staff and he says he wouldn't be surprised if an offer came soon. Iowa was once thought to be a leader for Cole and could still be, but a chance to play with Washington in college is something that has him very interested in Syracuse. A visit could be in the works for the summer.
  • 2016 2* QB DJ Daniels, Wilson (NC) Fike: Daniels camped with Washington at a Rivals camp and the two bonded. According to Daniels, the two were talking yesterday about playing together at Syracuse. While he doesn't have an offer, he has sent the coaching staff his film and has been in communication with Coach Smith here and there. A visit could be in the works and Daniels admits that the idea of playing with Washington might be too good to pass up if he were to be offered.
  • 2016 ATH Nakendrick Clark, Statesville (NC) Statesville: Clark has no offers, and according to Rivals, no teams interested in him. However, talking to one of his former coaches, he has been playing out of position the past two years, and has still been an all-conference player. He was described as, "a diamond in the rough" and if a team can get in on him early before the summer camps start, they could be in a good position for Clark when his recruitment starts to pick up. He told CuseConfidential.com that since Washington committed, Syracuse is a team that he has become more and more interested in. Only time will tell if that is mutual from the coaching staff.
  • 2017 4* LB Loren Mondy, Mansfield (TX) Lake Ridge: You want to talk about a stop gap inside linebacker? Mondy fits that to perfection. He has been committed to Arizona State for almost two years now which makes the fact that he wants to visit Syracuse much more impressive. He is friends with Robert Washington going back to the Team USA days, but also has a connection with Dwayne Haskins, Anthony Hines, and the Mayden brothers.
  • 2017 ATH TJ Sanders, Mt. Holly (NC) East Gaston: Sanders will be the future teammate of Robert Washington and he is a friend of the family. In fact, Sanders was with the Washington's when Robert picked Syracuse as his college destination and that choice has increased his own interest in the Orange. He is listed as a running back, a linebacker, and a safety by his high school team which is one of the reasons why he has gone a little under recruited as of right now. The Syracuse coaches have just now started to get in contact with Sanders, but he told CuseConfidential.com that he has, "very high interest" and that he would, "love to visit".
  • 2017 LB John Brannon, Prosper (TX) Prosper: Brannon's relationship with Washington goes back to the Team USA days as well, and when Washington committed to Syracuse, Brannon became interested. He has a lot of schools talking with him, but no offers yet. He told CuseConfidential.com that he wanted to get to know more about Syracuse and would welcome contact from the coaches. As a sophomore, he lead his team in total tackles with 107, 23 for loss. With heavy interest behind him, it is only a matter of time before teams start to offer.

The funny thing about the list above is that on April 24th, none of the names listed had any real interest in Syracuse University. With many of them starting to create relationships with Syracuse and mutual interest picking up, what was once nothing, could actually turn into something by this summer.
