illinois has 13 quad 1 wins???

When Illinois plays smart they are one of the best teams in the nation.

They lost a bunch of games when they stopped feeding Kofi Cockburn they will lose if they don’t feed him or their big guy George off the bench.

holy cow. i know who im picking to win it all. other than our games ive hardly watched any college hoops this year, so thats the stat im rolling with.
One and done anyone can win, but yeah the Illini are legit and I’d take them against even the Zags in a best of seven

Picked bama, though Michigan was tempting

Gotta tough match up between either Loyola Chicago or G tech. But yeah Gonzaga or Illinois are hard not to pick

Yeah will be interesting to see how they handle Krautman or Wright. I would think Loyola is the tougher matchup given their tourney experience.

I know very tempted to pick them in bracket but very risky

It’d be interesting to try and go back and apply these quad metrics to some of our better years and see how many Q1 we had. SWC75?!?!

I also have not watched as much college hoops this year as I normally would have. That stat blows my mind in this shorter season.

I took Ohio state to beat Texas. It's going to be a wierd tournament. I did watch the Big 10 final sat and that kid from OSU looks like a stud that could take over.

I don't think the stats back you up on that in terms of their losses. He averages just over 10 shots and in only two of their 6 losses (Baylor & OSU), did he not hit double figures in shots.

However, I do agree with the general point that they have a much higher chance of winning it all if they continue to feed him the rock. He is unstoppable in the low post.

MD trying to guard him would be like an Ent carrying a hobbit. Not sure Cockburn would even realize he was there.

When he leads the team in scoring they have won every game, except one, by double-digits.

Baylor and Ohio State were the games I was talking about.
They were games that Illinois was up for.

Also he got foul trouble in their loss at Missouri.

Cockburn is why Illinois is hard to beat. If they feed him they are hard to beat.
Only one or two guys in the nation can play him straight up.

Always hard to tell how good Gonzaga really is since they haven't played anyone since Xmas.

They crushed people early on but those teams have gotten better. I still think they make the final four because they are in the COVID bracket but not sure they win it all.

Texas could be the most talented team in the country but can they put it together for 6 games?

If Okie St. wasn't matched up with the Illini, I would have them in the Final Four.

Ohio State is really good. I just think the Illini are a bit better.

Michigan without Livers has a problem.

Gonna be a fun tournament. There are probably 8 teams that could win it all.

I actually really like Baylor even though they’ve stuttered a bit since covid pause. I like taking teams with experienced guards and they got 3 of them

Ok. Agree with you on those two games.

And I agree that he is why they are hard to beat.

How about a best of one?

Should I do another skurey special Gonzaga vs whatever team anyone else wants

I've got them in the final game in my bracket but this year is such a crap shoot. All the disruptions has left me wondering still who are the best teams. Also, all it takes is one COVID case to torpedo everything.
