I don't know why they've made certain choices. In a galactic war between good and evil, we're dealing with the smother of a protocol dweeb? Then there's the oddness of having a parallel to Israel, with language and characterizations that make it obvious, though kinda ridiculous as a carryover from a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Then the white wedding and the trance dance thing... Then the atmospheric stuff—the steampunk technologies, for example. I was mixxy last season on the use of a Polaroid Land Camera but now i just think some of the tech in the production design is lazy. People plugging in quarter-inch audio jacks, for instance... And radio frequency tuning... It's now less sci-fi and more City of Lost Children (which i loved, but this shouldn't be that).

Part of the fault is mine—i just don't find any of the storyline(s) to be interesting enough to even pay attention to. Most of the dialog just washes over me and i am not following along. Last season, the dialog was quite good. Now, it's just seems like a lot of trivialities. Still haven't mentioned the Bix incident, and how she has been sidelined and meaningless. Just another constant female [I]victim[/I]. I'm expecting that to turn around, but what a waste so far.
