It was compelling and interesting the whole time, even for a slow burn show, but you do have to catch on to the main character Cady being a show version of an unreliable narrator for certain things to make sense. The last episode really stands out and they paid off a bunch of little clues dropped throughout the season. It sounds like it's been a hit for Amazon and the author has a few more books in the series it was based on.
