If you believe in someone…..or something, you don't give up on it so fast! He could have kept Mcdonald as OC for the remainder of the season, had Lester call the plays, and made a decision after the season.  The way Shafer handled that situation is one of the worse examples of how "not to lead" that I have seen in a while.
