blew a 31-7 lead to lose to Iowa State in 3OT. WVU out on a island, UConn being a dumpster fire and Rutgers in a free fall...things could be worse. And now it seems we finally have a real regional rival. Yesterday was a good day.

The natural order of things is returning.

USF will give rutgers a game if they handle the weather.. they have played much better down the stretch unless they just fold after the UCF loss.

It will be huge if USF can beat Rutgers; and this is part of why getting to a bowl game this year was such a big deal for northeastern recruiting even if we play a nobody school.

Want to play at Rutgers and get your teeth kicked in weekly by better programs? And have your 'home games be de facto road games?
Or go to a UConn program that is right now about where Syracuse was 6-7 years ago?
Or go to West Virginia and play half your games half the country away?
Or go to a school like Syracuse with a proud football tradition, that is currently going to bowls and looking to make the next step?

Seeing a school we beat the year before like Mizzou play in the SEC championship game makes me feel like we're not that far off from a true "breakthrough" year.

I am so happy to be in the ACC. Bottom line is the ACC simply beat the old Big East with a large conference along the eastern seaboard. The fact that the ACC didn't have half its membership from schools that didn't play football also helped this occur. I'm not positive we won't see an additional tweak or two down the road but this just feels like a much better fit than the best the old Big East could offer.

I do feel sorry for Cincy. They better hope the Big 12 wants to bridge the gap between WVU and the rest of the conference.

$$$ talks. Big 12 wants more guaranteed $$$ before they consider expanding, and right now they won't get any additional cash for expansion per the contract. Cincy is going to have to wait until the conferences move to 16. That could be years.
