I have changed my avatar for the remainder of this month. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month - the terrible disease that took the life of his mother.
This year 22,200 women in the US will be diagnosed with this disease and another 14,000 will die from it. Since it is very rarely detected early, only 45% of women with this disease survive 5 years. In contrast the 5 year survival rate for Breast Cancer is 89%. This is why Teal was chosen as the official color: TEAL ----> Take Early Action & Live!
After watching his remarkable video I have a special place in my heart for Terrel as my wife succumbed to the same disease. Like many on this board, I want the best QB that gives us a chance to win to become the starter. After drinking the cool aid spread by the Okie posters and the fact that Shafer annointed Drew the starter I felt that Allen gave us the best chance to win.
I desperately want our football program to thrive and I could care less which QB leads us to victory. If Terrel continues to develop and improve while racking up a winning season, he will quickly become one of my all-time favorite SU players.
