Nick Williams WR coach Special teams coach Jacksonville State

He has a reputation as a solid recruiter, comes from an area that we will need recruiting help in. They are second ranked in the FCS and he also coaches the position we need to fill as well as having special teams under him.

How did their special teams rank?

I like the outside the box thinking.

I'd be all for Casullo. He has been a successful HS HC down in South Florida, and knows the culture of Syracuse Football that he would be recruiting for.

Shafer can't have that many more buddies left that need a job right?

We hired Steve Addazio out of high school and he didn't turn out so bad.

Crusty -- What? If McDonald leaves, that frees up the OC money, the WR coach money and the extra money for being great at recruiting. If he leaves, we ought to be able to get a WR coach from freaking Jacksonville State or pretty much anywhere else in the country. No, I don't think Lester got a huge raise to the money McDonald was making when HCSS named him OC. Maybe a little, not huge.

Last but not least, I actually am relatively confident, I'd say 75-80% that McDonald stays here for next year.

I called that it was very possible he stayed two weeks or so after the whole fiasco. I bet I nailed it.

I did as well. He's got a lot of rebuilding of value to do before he gets a parallel job, let alone something above a WR coach. Plus, I think he is doing and can do great things with our WR corps and I do appreciate his recruiting ability. I like George a lot in this position. I had huge problems with a lot of what I saw on offense when he was OC, which I am sure tons of people agree with given the demotion.

Wow you guys really like that prediction. I have no idea but I don't think I would put money on it.

I hope he stays as well. Just because it didnt go well as on OC doesnt mean that he is not a great value to the program. Recruiting, teaching a position, and assistant head coach are huge roles within any program. I can see George doing a great job next year and either staying with the program or at that point taking another job with an SEC team for more money. I hope that he stays

He is crazy to stay. No upside for him.

I wonder if McDonald is on campus helping with officials. He's usually popping up on social media or pics.

I wonder how Casullo is really perceived in South Florida? Lots of times public school coaches arent thrilled about the local parochial coming in to poach their best players ever year. |If they dont like him, he could get frozen out.

I mean, can he coach wide receivers. Most people nailed GmC for not being an experienced OC but he can recruit.

He was at the game last night
