The easy games are behind us, and we have had a good look at our new players. So, who is your starting 5 in Vegas? I'll go first:
1 George
2 Anthony
3 Kingz
4 Freeman
5 Kyle
•• Sadiq or Betsey may have to start or play big minutes if we continue to struggle rebounding.
To be clear, I don't think Anthony is a better player than Starling, and I am happy we have both. I think the two are comparable in terms of production, but I would give the starting nod to Anthony for a few reasons -
- Defense: The coaches and JJ himself have emphasized making him a better defender. Some progress has been made, but it's been tough. Anthony isn't much better, but he has only been at it a few months.
- Ball Movement: JJ is a slasher - which means he has to dribble a lot to be effective. The ball tends to stop when he gets it. With Anthony, we have been successful in keeping the ball moving. He picks his spots.
- Positional flexibility: JJ is a shooting guard. Anthony can rotate between PG, SG, and SF.
