Quick analysis:  Syracuse in a rebuilding period is better than Minnesota by 5 wins, averaging +1 win/year.  Of note: for Syracuse, these five years are the first five years POST GROB!  Add to that the SOS and the fact that Syracuse would have won a few more games if we scheduled light (like Minnesota).

Historically, Syracuse is in the top 20 winning programs with a history of playing stiff competition.
Syracuse is +43 wins, +9 losses, +5 ties.  I'm glad Minnesota fans are loyal and solid fans.  However, they simply are not the powerhouse they claim to be.  Not that Syracuse is a powerhouse, but we appaer to be closer to that moniker than certain Gopher fans.

The reality is this game will be won on the Texans' home field.  Both teams will play their hearts out, we fans should see a good game.  Will it affect the National Championship?  Nope!  But one fan base will have bragging rights.  Naturally, it will be the Orange fan base but I digress.

I have no natural animosity against the Gophers other than on game day.  However, if I was a Big 10 fan, I would be inclined to associate Gopher fans with Rutgers and UConn fans.
