After all the ups and downs following SU in the tourney, I'm not a fan of looking at their potential matchups when the official field is released. I feel that for teams seeded 1-4 70% of winning is skill and 30% is luck! Some top teams get lucky and have an easy path to the final four because their region has a lot of upsets. We generally don't get lucky and have to play all the top seeds or if we end up playing a lower seed that upset a higher seed, it's usually a bcs school that is peeking at the right time. After 2010, I'm looking at match-ups 1 game at a time.

It's all match-ups. SU needs to avoid teams that control tempo and slow the game down to a half-court battle -- which is our weakness. If we draw up-tempo teams that want to run and play an open court game we're almost unbeatable. That is why SU usually does well when they play the bigger name teams and so often get upset by mid majors in early rounds.

Don't like a match-up with Michigan State at all tough D and just enough scoring.

In 2003, the pundits were saying that the Big 12 was the best conference, and SU had to defeat 4 of their teams in the tournament to win the title (plus Missouri in the regular season).

This year, pundits have been saying that the B1G is the best conference, and Palm's bracket has the potential for SU to face four of their teams to get to the final (Illinois, Wisconsin, MSU, OSU).

one team that's currently number 6 in Lunardi's bracket that could get into that 4/5 sweet 16 matchup that scares the sheet out of me is Creighton.
