Well, interesting to me at least.

Three times in the rivalry, Georgetown and Syracuse have met three times in a season and one team has beaten the other all three times.

In all three seasons in which one team has swept the other, one of the two teams has made the NCAA championship game:
1983-84 - Hoyas beat 'Cuse 3X - Hoyas win NC
1986-87 - Hoyas beat 'Cuse 3X - 'Cuse loses final
2002-03 - 'Cuse beat Hoyas 3X - 'Cuse wins NC

So, in the event the Hoyas do win tonight, one of the two teams should make the NCAA finals. Question is, "Which One?".

No. Factoids, by defintion, are factual but useless.

Whether they are interesting or not is up to the reader/writer.

So, yes, putting "useless" on the subject line was redundant...
