Interesting comparision we may all get to make

Last year we were in the top 1,2 or 3 all season. Finished 29-1 in the regular season, lost in the Big East Semis and the Final Eight. There was not a lot to complain about besides the off court stuff and of course Melo. However, expectations for a championship took the luster off a strong NCAA perfromance.

This year we are somewhat limping along at 22-7 and may be looking at a 23-8 regular season with a 4 or 5 seed in March Madness. Let's say we get hot and win the Big East tournament and return back to the Final Eight. Which season is better? If we get to the Final Four then I would say clearly this one.

Racking up the wins and bragging rights over rivals are great during the regular season but it really all comes down to the NCAA tournament. Our main goals are still there for the taking.

We actually finished 30-1.

Last year was awesome and we certainly maxed out what we could have done in the NCAA's given the Fab suspension. We got a terrible draw with Ohio State as the 2 seed in our region (they were a 1 seed talented team) and we played them right down to the final minute. I mean last year 2 #2 seeds were upset in the first round. Unlucky that it wasnt the 2 seed in our bracket.

If we get to the FF by some miracle this season it does not take away how great last year was IMO.
