I’m a Bears fan and just read an interesting tidbit from the D2 QB the bears signed as a UDFA. He was asked this week why he never left Sheperd university to increase his odds of getting drafted. There were a few reasons why he stayed at his college but thought this was interesting but not surprising.
“The only reason I got in the transfer portal is I started getting calls illegally from people,” Bagent said. “And I was like, ‘Damn, if they’re calling, I might be able to go to Oklahoma or something if these places are calling me and I’m not even in the portal.’”
