Good stuff. I have always said that its from the focus on teams playing and committing to the defensive end more than anything. Another reason IMO is that players today want to attack the hoop or fire it from deep. Rarely do you see teams that score a lot of points from mid range jump shots. Way more charges are being called than I can ever remember.
