I remember noting how potentially good they could be last year when we played them in the dome. They've now grown into a legit tourney team. Machado is one of the best PGs in the nation and Glover is still a beast. Plus they got Momo Jones as a transfer from 'zona.
They're a mid-major to look out for in the tourney.

Fun fact. 2 of Iona's 6 losses are to Marshall and Manhatten both of which SU has beaten this year.

Syracuse - Lock
Iona - Leading MAAC and look like a potentially dangerous team come tournament time
LIU - Leading NEC with 15-1 record - likely 16 seed
Stony Brook - Tied for America East lead with 12-2 record - likely 16 seed

Potentially four teams again.

I like Iona as well but I have watched them several times this year and obviously they can score, but they play no defense and outside of Glover they don't have much inside. Not even sure that they'll make it out of the maac. Loyola Md, Fairfield, and Manhattan are all competitive in that conference.

Iona lost a couple games this year where they gave up big leads against teams with less talent. Cluess is doing a good job as coach but in those games he was clueless. With their talent, they probably should have a better record.

their best win is st joes in 2ot and they have lost to 5 nobodies. we should not be afraid of iona in the ncaa.

LIU is more like a 15 seed, assuming they beat out Wagner, whose number they seem to have.
