or at least appears to be in sports. If you go after them, or accuse them of instigating this, I am not sure a small school like SU wins in the end... I reckon it to be a lot like big brother, you simply don't mess with them. Its a very scary reality truthfully. They honestly have the power to make and break programs, as we've seen with conference realignment, etc.

Let's assume that the story is fabricated and it becomes obvious to all that ESPN did an awful job here. Who's to say Syracuse "takes on" ESPN? My guess would be that, say, the new NBCSports would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to get in a boatload of whacks at ESPN's journalistic integrity. I think that's what ESPN needs to be worried about, Jason Whitlock is already salivating at this story like someone put him at a table staring at a seven course spread...
