Tulane appears to be a very strong defensive team, ranked 48th overall in the Pomeroy defensive efficiency rankings.  Only Stanford (7th) is ranked higher among SU's opponents so far.  The only other Top 60 defenses SU has faced were Va Tech (57) and Marshall (58).  All three of the top 60 defenses the Orange have faced have held them under 70 points.

In addition to limiting offensive rebounds, Tulane also ranks highly in limiting effective field goal percentage (41.3%, 8th in the nation, which includes holding teams to 27.7% from three,30th in the land).  They are also top 50 in steal percentage and just outside the top 50 in block percentage, so this should be a low scoring, grind it out game where the team that most values the ball wins.
