Moore was a very bright spot early in the season. Perhaps even a surprise to Red. The kid was confident and made his shots. The guys we got in the portal on a whole gets a grade of C.  Hopefully, the staff has learned that we are in the ACC and will need high level players from the portal to be successful. Yes, there have been select players from the mid majors who have performed well moving up to the major conferences, but this roster under a below average coach still finding his way was doomed from the start.
I would hate to see Red get fired after only 2 seasons but I don't see a big enough improvement happening with his coaching next year unless an experienced coach is brought in to be his lead assistant who can teach him the nuances of coaching  successfully (handling and developing players, in game coaching and planning {x's and o's}, and in game adjustments, etc.).
