This is going to happen a lot this year, we’re an extremely perimeter oriented team, not going to get a lot of calls from out there. It took 12 minutes and 35 seconds for a CAA team to “commit a foul” in the Dome.
Lol
Yes, but there is a difference between no calls, and less calls than a physical bruising team. At one point either Frank, or Jesse were going up for an alley oop, and they were hit on the arm, no call. The whole dome reacted. There's gotta be a little more consistency with calls. The team doesn't only play on the perimeter, Jimmy, Cole, Jesse, Frank, and Symir attack the basket at points. This is going to happen a lot this year, we’re an extremely perimeter oriented team, not going to get a lot of calls from out there.
I’m guessing Tyus Battle attacked the basket more in a half than all the guys you listed the entire game.Yes, but there is a difference between no calls, and less calls than a physical bruising team. I saw two blatant missed calls yesterday. The one you described above, which should have been called, but the contact actually happened before Frank touched the ball so I guess you could let that go. And in the first half, when Buddy went up for what looked like his new signature spin and take a jumper in the paint, but he passed to I think Cole under the basket for a bucket. Buddy got bodied pretty hard on that play so he should have gotten the foul there.Yes, but there is a difference between no calls, and less calls than a physical bruising team. As I said, this team isn't going to rack up a ton of fouls, but the absurdity of none for 12 minutes is overboard. There were a handful of calls that were blatantly missed. No big deal against Drexel, as we were far more talented than they were. Main point, refs have to call the obvious fouls, the rest is basically up to the crew whether they call a close game, or let the teams play. At that point, consistency is all that is important, but reiterating the main point, there were definite missed calls that were fairly obvious yesterday.I’m guessing Tyus Battle attacked the basket more in a half than all the guys you listed the entire game.
I don’t disagree with it being crazy for 12 minutes, but we need to expect not picking up a lot of fouls this yearAs I said, this team isn't going to rack up a ton of fouls, but the absurdity of none for 12 minutes is overboard.
