It NBA has a rule requiring one year of college or (minimum age) how is it a player can go to the NBA g league without satisfying the minimum requirements . Need the NCAA to file for an injunction stopping this practice right from the start. If it turns out to be an acceptable practice theNBA needs to close up this loophole

Plenty if the NBA’s rule can be interpreted to prohibit this type of action which is detrimental to the NCAA program

The nba now allows players to go straight to the g league

The NCAA should have a monopoly on 17-22 year old basketball players?

Man, interesting move from bazley. Too bad a uk player didnt do this first. We wont be the last one to experience this. The landscape or college ball is going to change radically in the coming years
Why he’s getting paid to go there as the legal schools like us don’t do that

Yep yes it will. Will be time to lower the tix pricing structures, mcoaches salaries, etc. The game as we know it will forever change.

The NBA has no duty to the NCAA. The NBA can break it's own rules if it wants to. The NCAA has no standing because there isn't a contractual relationship there.

It was inevitable, really.

He just won't be allowed to move up during the season to the NBA.

Latavious Williams (born March 29, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Valencia Basket of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. After graduating from high school, he played with the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League before being drafted by the Miami Heat with the 48th pick in the 2010 NBA draft. After the draft, his draft rights were immediately traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the NBA affiliate of the 66ers.[1] However, the Thunder did not sign him to a contract and Williams returned to the D-League with the 66ers. On February 19, 2015, his draft rights were traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.[2]

Williams was the first player ever to skip college basketball and play a year in the D-League before getting drafted in the NBA. He was also the first player ever to enter into the D-League directly from high school. Williams was, however, the second player to be drafted while playing for a D-League team, as Mike Taylor ended up being drafted a year earlier back in 2009. As of September 2015, Williams has never played a competitive game (regular season or playoff) in the NBA, being one of two D-League draftees to hold such claim (the other being Chukwudiebere Maduabum).
