This shows your lack of knowledge of football. You obviously haven't seen Zach Allen play. He isn't the 88th best QB in the country. You must be pissed he isn't 4 or 5 stars either, huh? You never keep a coach for that reason. Plus how do you know what type of O the next guy runs? What if we threw money at Rich Rod to come home back East? He wouldn't even use Allen.

We need to do what is best in the long term interests of the program.

we have heard something similar to this re: every QB recruit dougie marroney has brought in. every year we are told this guy is going to start over nassib right away etc etc etc

I get what you are saying, but to be fair, how many of the others have been invited to Elite 11 camp and lauded by other pro QBs (Dilfer, Romo, etc)?

He committed in May. Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech were on him before him committing.

I'm not bashing the recruits. Justifying keeping the Coach another year because of the possibility of losing Allen is stupid. Maybe the kid will be good, maybe he won't be. No one knows but I do know that Doug is sinking right now and unless he pulls something miraculous out of his ass keeping him around may do more harm than good with recruiting.

Nobody says Allen sucks, but if this guy was a legit 5 star recruit I would be willing to hold onto DM a little more than if he is a nice top 25 QB recruit. If Allen is one of DM's higher rated recruits I would be scared into his recruiting. More schools would still offer this kid, and try to flip him. I would like to see him with offers from most of the Big XII.

It was only 11 for GRob. Marrone loses to Pitt and he is pretty much there. He could tie GRob's record against UConn and Coach P. How ironic.
