My God! Players leaving, players transferring, players we didn't even know we're injured- out for the game. The tide has to turn the other way, right?

Players leaving and transfers isn't always bad news... The game, followed by a good recruiting haul will be our good news.

That's what I'm looking for. The transfer thing bugs me the most. Two young guys-supposedly promising-one at a thin position without a recruiting haul foreseen at that position. The Eskeridge thing-ouch! Just not a warm, fuzzy feel. I am willing to wait and see on the game and the recruiting class to lift me out of this shallow ditch though.

Josh Manley didn't pan out and James Washington was behind a lot of guys. The best programs have transfers every year, so this isn't a sign of bad times.

If anything, it says a lot about our younger guys and the incoming class. Staff feels pretty damn good about them.

It's also about being honest with those players. If they really want to keep playing and still have dreams about playing on Sundays then it's in their best interest to move on.

wow guy relax 2 transfers and an injury... We had a solid season and in a nice bowl game

Opportunity for others to step up. Cuse needs players who want to be here and I wish Manley and Washington all the best...

Well there was the tremendous grassroots outpouring of charity by the fan base to the tune of almost $50000 to send underprivileged kids in the Houston metro area to the game. I think that was a good piece of news.

Syracuse's head coach leaves for Buffalo, takes almost every staff member weeks before signing day. the DC is promoted and gets SU to a bowl game vs a Big Ten opponent in his first season. This season is good news.

(I'm a glass half full guy always)

D, both transfers were going to be scout team again this year. There weren't a whole lot of rosters slots open based on seniors this year, if the opportunity is there to sign 20-25 really good players those last 10 scholies spots are gold and if they are freed up by mutual agreement and benefit to the player, then it's not the worst thing in the world.

The Smith thing is disapointing because he is a proven productive back who has stayed very healthy for two years of sustained work. Can't say the same for Gully or Morris.

Once Smith lowered his pads he's been a changed man. I remember when he was either Coker's or Cater's tackleing dummy, he'd come through the line high and get lit up and his bell rung on a pretty regular basis.
